Spanish & French Thanksgiving Educational Resources

As the crisp autumn air settles in and leaves paint the landscape in hues of red and gold, Thanksgiving is just around the corner.

It's a time for reflection, gratitude, and coming together with loved ones. This Thanksgiving break is really needed for teachers as they get ready to end the school year in a matter of weeks. We've prepared some Thanksgiving worksheets to help engage, entertain, and teach students about Thanksgiving.

These educational resources range from coloring books and pages to Thanksgiving vocabulary worksheets in Spanish, French, and English.

Here are some worksheets you may find useful during teaching this time of year. For our classes, we usually continue to teach with these Thanksgiving worksheets until the end of November. However, you may choose to incorporate these worksheets into your lessons, we hope you find them useful and an educational resource that becomes a staple in your teaching library.

To introduce Thanksgiving vocabulary to students in Spanish or French, these worksheets are great for doing that. This worksheet pack includes 14 pages:
  • 1 Vocabulary list with Thanksgiving food vocabulary in Spanish or French with English translations
  • 1 Unscramble Activity with Spanish or French Thanksgiving food vocabulary
  • 1 Word Bank activity that requires students to write the food word under the Thanksgiving food image
  • 1 Matching activity in which students have to match the food word to the Thanksgiving food image
  • 1 Writing activity for students to write the foods (dinner and dessert) that they eat for Thanksgiving
  • 1 Word Search activity where students have to search for the Spanish or French Thanksgiving food vocabulary
  • 4 Answer Key for all worksheets
  • 4 Black and white versions for 3 worksheets

We combined both of these resources into a bundle at a lower price specifically designed for modern language teachers who teach both Spanish and French.

These previous worksheet packs are comprehensive as they assess the Thanksgiving food vocabulary, in a multitude of ways. However, if you would prefer a shorter version of the Thanksgiving food activities, the following worksheets are right for you. The following worksheets include a vocabulary list, a word search, and an unscrambling activity using the Thanksgiving food vocabulary list in Spanish or French.

If you are teaching numbers 1--10 to Spanish or French beginners during Thanksgiving, these worksheets are a wonderful resource that includes 10 pages with matching activities and answer keys. There are also black-and-white versions of the colored worksheets.

These worksheets are great for teachers teaching colors in Spanish or French during the Thanksgiving season. These 6 pages include 2 Coloring pages with colors vocabulary and 2 color matching activities with answer keys.

We also have coloring pages with different images that can be used with students or homeschoolers of all ages and levels. Coloring is a calming activity and these pages are infused with Thanksgiving images and Spanish, French, or English vocabulary with translations.

These coloring pages also come in bundles to help you save on getting more than one coloring page packet. Here are the bundles:
